Overview

What is Keel?

Keel is a Sky-enabled (fka MakerDAO) onchain capital allocator focused on DeFi, tokenized assets, and strategic reserve tokenization.

Advantaged by its scale and atomically elastic balance sheet, Keel captures a spread relative to its exclusive access to predictable, low-cost of borrowing from Sky.

With no custodians or externally owned accounts, assets remain 100% protocol-owned, ultimately controlled by, and benefiting governance token holders.

As a Star in the Sky Ecosystem, Keel supports the development and maintenance of Sky infrastructure across execution environments, enabling access to the Sky and USDS ecosystem. Keel's initial infrastructure was established on Solana, where USDS remains live and integrated across leading DeFi protocols.

Keel’s Mission

Keel is laying the groundwork for critical financial enablers and credit rails, as a forecasted $30tn of the world’s assets come onchain as collateral by 2034.

Keel intends to play a leading role in shaping the DeFi and RWA landscape, and catalyzing the next stage of scale for onchain capital markets — as both a capital allocator, and a partner and enabler to asset issuers and protocols.
